Inner Space concept art
Concept art for a science-fiction graphic novel named "Inner Space" set in en entirely fictional world and revolving about the impending conflict between two large empires, the "Empire of Marban" and the "Confederation of Tambr".
These represent a few concepts for characters, mechanical things and environments.
Since this, unlike "Shadowless" is a completely different world I took the opportunity to design it from the ground up, as it were. Everything, from eating utensils to watches and timekeeping and through trains, planes and automobiles is meant to be both alien and familiar at the same time. Also comes with geography and language.
This project is currently on hold.
A couple of airliners from the Inner Space world, belonging to the two sides: the Marbanian Klatu B.40N floatplane (top) and a Tambrian IAT 825 "Triumph" (bottom).
A few characters - two pilots and two scientists. The more astute would have noticed the technology level disparity between them. Well, that's a story for another time...

Marbaina and Tambrian light artillery, from light automatic guns to mortars. These are light, close-support weapons used by infantry units at battalion level to bolster their firepower, as opposed to being found in dedicated artillery regiments.

What would a fictional world be without a few trains?
The IAT-153 is the mainstay fighter aircraft of the "Confederation of Tambr".
The plane belonging to Tambrian pilot Artana Pohimvi, "Ol'Salty". It's a ground attack / heavy interceptor version of the IAT-153 named the IAT-180.
Axonometric exaggerated view of the Marbanian city of Jokmal. Would look nice in a tourist brochure.
Modeled after cold-war military maps, this map is probably too small to make out on this site, but rest assured, even the most insignificant village is present on it.
